without guilt and dept, you have no purpose imprisoned, no reason. resign your residency there
In a world where we fight so much for freedom, it's bewildering to see how little fight there is from the worst captivity. Captivity in sin; the absolute lack of desire for freedom from oneself.
To hate someone is tiring. Energy and time consuming. You run from it, effort to avoid and free yourself of them the burden. Hating something in yourself, or worse- yourself, is exhausting. You can't run no matter how hard you try. You can only hate and fight. But what if you lose? See in a battle against flesh, human loses. Only one of higher authority can prevail. When each day is a fight for freedom, death can rear its ugly enticing head and welcome an individual to peaceful escape. That is not freedom. Freedom is not a bird leaving a cage only to be restricted to waddle around a restricted enclosure. Blake was so right when he said "how can a bird that is born to fly sit in a cage and sing?" If a bird was created to soar, it'll never fulfil it's purpose trapped inside. Similarly, we were created for more than staying in life without freedom. Freedom is opening the doors of the prison wide and walking out as chains fall and walls shake! Running into the marvelous light! Freedom from captivity and sin.
Prison can be welcoming. A warm bed, hot meals, they know your name. It's comfortable. Stepping out into glaring lights can be scary. But don't turn back.
I know so many people who "long for the faith I possess". People who "wish they could be as strong as I am". There's no strength in me. I didn't free myself.
You cannot unlock the door from the inside. Someone on the outside had to. When Jesus comes aknockin' and you say come in, he doesn't wait for you to try figure out the long lost keycode (he could be waiting a life time... Your lifetime), He being all powerful lets the door swing open and tells you you're a free man. You are free of dept, free of guilt, free to live without boundaries. Without guilt and dept there's no longer a sentence to serve. You have no purpose imprisoned, no reason. Resign your residency there. Why let yourself be bound unnecessarily by chains of darkness when you've already tasted and seen his good the Lord is?
Freedom is found in surrender to Love that frees, to live in The spirit and not the flesh.
Where sin abounds, grace is deeper. Always.
When called to freedom, we're called to bask in it. Live in it. Thrive in a life of freedom!
